Dropping a line...

Hi there. It's been such a long time!  I've been trying to get used the an empty nest. Yes, my daughters have moved out, the last of the five.  Now all of my kids are independent.  I miss them, but it's nice.  I've been doing a bit of crafting, doing some scanning and some editing. The ol' man and I have even been carrying on conversations!  I made an expandable card box yesterday, I found it at The Paper Boutique, she's really talented and has tons of other things I'll probably go back and make as many as I can.

Just for today

I think today will be a good day.  I am still at my dad's but it looks like we'll be putting him in an assisted living home, today.  It's difficult to take care of him, especially since I was not at all prepared for this.  My big bro kind of neglected to fill me in on everything.  

A Crafty Weekend

I got a lot done this weekend, I had so much fun! I took the idea of the 2-4-6-8 box and made some banks. Not sure what I'll do with them but I will show them off.

This all four of them. Of course the smallest is for hubby's beer, I need the funds for more important things.

Don't know what I'll call this one, but I know it'll be something important, like daquiri's or something.

Had to include something for the ol' man, but he'll have to fill this lots in order to afford his beer. teehee

I was in a vendor fair at the Hampton on Saturday. It was fun and lucrative, I got orders and parties. It's a start!

Things I made this week

Okay, here's my first try at showing off some things I made, let's see if it works.

I love making these little 'milk cartons' I got a tutorial last year to make the holder but I did improvise.

Some valentine cards I made.

I love gable boxes. While organizing my craft area, I found a bunch of di-cuts, and this is the result, I just had to play. I have about 10 more pages with two on each page as well as a bunch of tags. They're 2 1/2 x 4, I think they're from Stampin' Up.

Another milk carton, just very tall and a mini pizza box.

Day after yesterday

I did it again, a whole day went by and I didn't even check my email. I'm behind on so much but my craft room is more convenient. I am only on week 3 and it has really made a difference I just need to be beconsistent at putting things away and not letting them pile up on my work area. Even better, it's been fun. The fun part is finding all the stuff I forgot I had. I do have a lot of things in the storage that I haven't come across yet, but I'm getting there.
